If Manor Marussia had come out to drive, would it have raced the McLaren? We have no idea how many seconds down they would be but we know the McLaren is a few seconds off the pace.

I'm wondering if Marussia will ever compete in a race.
What's the payout for participating in the 2015 season vs the cost to bring cars to every event?
Can they make money for meeting all the "participation" requirements?

I think they will be on track by China, they seem to have a car to run if the software is sorted. No idea how slow they will be.

Agreed i think Manor will be there. But it'll be a good battle for the last 4 spots if both McLarens & Manors are running.
I wonder if McLaren will turn up the power a bit each race. Boullier said they dialed back the power just to keep it running and it worked since Button made it to the end and almost scored points.

My guess is McLaren will get better fairly quickly, between their own team and Honda there are a huge amount of resources. Manor will always be at the back. The data Button got them this race will be valuable, the failure information on Mag's car will be valuable too I would think.

There's no way the Manor is competitive with this McLaren. Button's best quali times last year to this are practically identical (1:31.422). The MR03's best qualifying time last year in Australia was 1:34.293. I doubt that this new car would be running anything significantly better than that, if at all.
